BRIEF DESCRIPTION: A mixture of new and follow-up patients with cardiovascular symptoms/disease are seen in clinic. Common symptoms assessed are patients with chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, syncope. Common conditions seen are ischaemic heart disease (post MI, angina), heart failure, arrhythnmias, murmurs/valvular heart disease.
WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE/DO AT THE CLINIC: Cardiovascular history and examination, interpretation of 12 lead ecg, review of cardiac investigations (echocardiogram, heart monitor, myoview). Discussion with the patient of their condition, review of their medications and arrangement of management plan.
