KEY CONTACTS: Debbie Wilkinson, Lead Echocardiographer ([email protected]) BRIEF DESCRIPTION: An echocardiogram (echo) is used in the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with congenital or acquired heart disease, for example, ACS, heart failure, valve problems and cardiomyopathy. Echo is also routinely used to assess and monitor patients with pulmonary hypertension, following a CVA/TIA, and for those receiving chemotherapy.
