Applications for Elective Attachments at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is an Associate Teaching Hospital of the University of Sheffield. We welcome elective applications from students currently studying at UK medical schools and also from overseas medical students wishing to complete an elective within the NHS. Due to the size of the Trust we are not always able to offer electives in all specialities and at certain times of the year.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be studying at a recognised medical school and be able to provide evidence. If you are offered a conditional placement, you will need to complete our pre-employment checks and pay a non-refundable administration fee of £100.

Pre-employment checks include:

Valid photo ID
Curriculum Vitae
Proof of placement at medical school
Medical Clearance
DBS/Police Checks
Correct immigration visa (if applicable)

Please note that all applications must be made at least 3 months before requested start date.
