ENTENT ENT or otorhinolaryngology is a varied specialty which deals with patients from birth to old age. It is a very medical specialty with most conditions treated with medication as first line. There is no medical otorhinolaryngologist unlike GI surgeon/Gastroenterologist, Orthopaedic surgeon/Rheumatologist, Cardiothoracic surgeon/Cardiologist or Respiratory physician.
