Child’s Rapid Access Clinics
The Children’s Outpatient department holds rapid access clinics five afternoons a week. They take urgent GP referrals where a child needs an urgent opinion but may not need inpatient admission and cannot wait the normal waiting time so see a consultant. It means a GP can ask for a consultant to see their patient the same day, or as soon as possible within a few days.
