BMJ is running a project to understand more about what junior doctors need to know when looking up information about diagnosing and managing conditions.

Specifically, how can one judge the quality of the information?

We'd love to speak to 5 or so junior doctors by phone for 30-45 minutes each; Foundation years, CT,  ST1 and ST2 would be ideal. We'll use their insight to improve BMJ products and we'll also offer them a BMJ certificate for their portfolio (for being part of our doctors' panel)  and a £20 Amazon voucher.

If this sounds like something you are interested in please contact Jonathan Black at jblack@bmj.com  or on 02073836671.

Spend a week's work experience at BMJ

Between January and March 2016, doctors can spend a week at BMJ. You'll spend the week working chiefly in our product development department, and alongside the team on The BMJ journal.

Pick a first and second choice out of these weeks:
  • 11 and 25 January 2016
  • 1, 8, 15 and 29 February 2016
  • 7 March 2016
...then follow this link to sign up!

Basic information
  • Be quick: we'll take doctors on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All junior doctors are welcome. There is no application process other than signing up. There are no criteria for eligibility other than being a junior doctor who can fit the week into their diary.
  • You will be working at BMA House, near Euston in London. You will need to arrange travel and accommodation yourself.
  • If you have any questions, email Jonathan Black: jblack@bmj.com
