Endoscopy
The Endoscopy Unit is located on C level and has recently been refurbished to create single sex accommodation and meet recommendations that meet JAG accreditation.
Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)
The MAU is located on Ward B1 and accepts direct referrals from the GPs as well as from A&E. It has a male and a female bay each with a dedicated staff nurse. Once management plans are in place patients are re-located to one of the medical wards or Coronary Care Unit, within 24h under the named consultant on call that day.
Breathing Space
We also manage Breathing Space, a 20 bed, nurse led facility at Badsley More Lane. Many patients with respiratory conditions are transferred to Breathing Space for part of their care.
